Plot
It follows three very different families who are competing for the same 1920s Spanish-style mansion that they believe will solve all their problems. Denis Leary and Ray Romano appeared in the Ice Age franchise (2002 to present). It took a while to figure out where and how things were going. And it took a while to find the balance between the dark, dark humor and what ended up being a pretty straightforward mystery. It was hard to connect with the characters at first, who seemed generally stupid or evil… I can see why some might watch an episode and then turn it off. There’s so much to watch, so much to watch nonstop, so little time… But I think persistence pays off here. Some might find the conclusion a little too bleak, but there’s nothing wrong with a little sentimentality this time of year. I really enjoyed it. "One Hundred Years of Solitude" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month. Check out our December calendar to learn more!
